Our history

I was raised in the vibrant culture of Sri Lanka, the youngest of three sisters in a close-knit family. My upbringing instilled a profound sense of community and compassion. Growing up I developed a strong appreciation for the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, which later became a cornerstone of my professional ethos.

My mother, is a dedicated caregiver, in every sense, and an inspirational role model whose commitment to improving the health and well-being of others left a lasting impression on me.

My degree in physiotherapy, where I developed a deep understanding of the human body and mind with its potential for healing and and approach is holistic. Combining my expertise in physiotherapy with my passion for education and personal development, I developed Athmaya for the everyday human. I am aware of the challenges of aging, the overwhelm of self-improvement advice, and the struggle to stay accountable. Through Athmaya, I provide tailored guidance and support, helping clients navigate their path with clarity and confidence.

I worked at the blood bank in Zambia as a project manager, I learned amazing things about new cultures and explored new worlds I hadn’t even imagined. Experiences have shaped and formed each of us. It’s important to understand how that can impact us, what patterns may have been laid subconsciously, and how this influences your daily life.
